What Business Partnership Looks Like

ASDA

ASDA community champions with Progress Network team at Green Arena opening day

When we needed support to create the Green Arena Community Garden, ASDA stepped up. Their £25,000 grant from the ASDA Foundation helped create a space where children now learn about growing food, environmental cycles, and taking care of living things.

"Progress Network were awarded a £25,000 grant from the ASDA Foundation to transform unloved land into a vibrant community space – so my colleagues and I were delighted to be invited to their open day to see all the great work they have done there.

I went along with Kim and our store manager Steven and we were blown away with the transformation and community vibe. It's now called The Green Arena and it's a safe community space for young people to come together, socialise and learn new skills.

With cooking facilities and a talent stage, the space can be used for so many different things. It was so lovely meeting local groups who had helped or were just there for support the event."

— Wendy, ASDA Community Champion

Young people gather in a garden that wouldn't exist without business partners who believed in our vision. ASDA's support didn't just fund a project - it created lasting community infrastructure.
